Tutors

Mr Alexander
Mr Alexander is a PE teacher and this will be his first Year 7 form group so he is equally excited. Sport is obviously his big passion.
Mr Hall
Mr Hall will be new to the school in September 2025, like you, and will be Head of Humanities, teaching History, Geography, RE and Sociology.
Miss Mee
Miss Mee is an English teacher, though has had many roles at KEVI. She is also Careers Leader with Miss Tickell and in charge of Life Matters (PSHEE). Miss Mee is also involved in the annual school production - why not sign up?
Mrs Scott
Mrs Scott is a Science teacher and really knows her stuff! She loves doing scientific experiments and investigations!
Mrs Wright
Mrs Wright is Lead Teacher in English and our Literacy Co-ordinator. She has a team of Reading Ambassadors, promoting literacy across the school and will teach the whole school a new Word of the Week every week of the year!

Key Staff

Picture
Mr J Christey
Headteacher
Mr Christey will be your Headteacher when you start in September and you will see him a lot around school and leading assemblies. He is somebody you can go to if you have a problem or you are worried about someone. He is a big fan of Stoke City FC!
Picture
Mrs A J von Elbing
Deputy Headteacher and SENCO
Mrs von Elbing is our Deputy Headteacher. She supports Mr Christey in the leadership of the school and you will see her around school quite a bit. She will help you achieve and succeed in school and is very friendly. Mrs von Elbing enjoys Art and History and appeared on a popular TV show (twice!).
Picture
Mr D Lomas
Transition Leader
Mr Lomas is the person who you will see regularly during the summer months as he will be the one helping your transition from primary to secondary school. He usually visits local primary schools throughout the year and can help with any questions you have about high school. He is also involved with our peer mentoring team, Hear4U, our school newsletter and website!
