Important message!
Please make sure you have completed your PAIF1 Post Admissions Information Form online by 26th June 2023. This will help ensure a smoother transition for your child. See your Welcome Pack for details.

Parents and carers

In May/June you will receive a Welcome Pack and Letter from the school. This will have a lot of useful information in it for parents/carers to help make your child's transition to high school as hassle-free as possible. If for any reason you do not receive this by the end of June, please contact the school.
At King Edward VI High School we know that you want the best for your child. We do too! We also understand that your child will get the most out of high school when parents/carers work closely with their child's teachers. To support this, we have a number of ways of keeping you informed about your child and their progress through high school.
On this page, you will find out about the different apps and ways we communicate with parents/carers. As well as the regular reports and parents' evenings we also like to keep you informed throughout the year about their progress, achievements and opportunities available to them. Please have a read below to find out more, or watch one of the infovideos on the right.

Go4Schools
From September, Go4Schools will be our main communications app for parents/carers. With this service you can view your child's progress, achievements, homework and reports. There is also a free app which can be downloaded from your app store. We will also use this to send you communications.
How do I access this?
Once you have completed your PAIF1 Post Admissions Information Form we will have your email address on our systems. You will then be sent an invitation letter in September to register for your account, using the email address you gave us. Go4Schools can then be accessed online or via their free app. Please note, the app does not currently enable you to view reports when they are published. You will need to login to their website to view these.

ParentPay
ParentPay is now the only way to pay for school snacks and lunches in our dining hall or for educational visits etc. King Edward VI High School is a cashless environment. A ParentPay account enables you to load money onto your account for your child to spend in school but also to view and monitor their spending activity.
How do I access this?
You will need to register for an account with ParentPay - unless you already have one at your child's current school, in which case you will be able to transfer them to our school before September. A letter will be sent to you in June/July with details on how to do this and with the appropriate codes.

Your child will be able to pay for their items using biometrics or a PIN, details of which can be found in the Post Admissions Information Form.

Once you have received your codes, please read the guidance from ParentPay on how to either register or transfer your account by clicking the button below.
